Transformer capacity measuring instrument, also known as transformer capacity tester or transformer capacity characteristic tester, is an instrument used for on-site testing of the capacity of power transformers in distribution systems. This instrument is mainly used to measure the actual capacity of transformers and solve the problem of users replacing the nameplate with falsely marked capacity to evade electricity supplementation fees. It is applicable for standard distribution transformer detection in low-voltage and small-current scenarios.
The instrument adopts an integrated design, with a small size and light weight, making it easy to carry and suitable for field operations. It is equipped with A/D synchronous AC sampling and digital signal processing technology, featuring a measurement accuracy of 0.2 class voltage (0.5V to 10V) and current (0.1A to 10A). The capacity detection range covers 10kVA to 6300kVA. It is equipped with a blue screen full Chinese graphic display and supports hierarchical menu-guided operation. Connect and disconnect correctly: When the test leads are connected to the live terminals, do not randomly connect or disconnect the test leads.
Grounding the product: In addition to grounding through the power cord grounding wire, the grounding post on the product shell must also be grounded. To prevent electric shock, the grounding conductor must be connected to the ground. Before connecting to the input or output terminals of this product, ensure that this product has been correctly grounded. Please check by yourself whether the user's grounding wire is reliable.
Pay attention to the rated values of all terminals: To prevent fire or electric shock hazards, please pay attention to all the rated values and markings of this product. Before wiring, please read the product manual to further understand the information about the rated values.
Do not operate the instrument before it is installed properly: If the cover or panel has been removed, do not operate this product.
Use the appropriate fuse: Only use fuses of the type and rating specified by this product.
Avoid contact with exposed circuits and live metal: When the product is powered on, do not touch the exposed contacts and parts.

Primary Voltage: Before determining the transformer capacity, it is necessary to correctly input the operating voltage of the transformer. This item represents the rated voltage of the transformer at the primary side. It can be directly input using the numeric keypad. The unit is kV.
Current Temperature: This value is used to correct the load loss measured during the test to the standard load test conditions (such as 75°C). The correction formula for load loss is: , where K represents the resistance temperature coefficient. The algorithm is: . In the formula, t represents the actual temperature during the test. The temperature correction formula for impedance voltage is: . In the formula, represents the percentage of the measured impedance voltage at the current temperature, represents the actual measured load loss at the current temperature, and represents the actual rated capacity of the tested transformer. Please measure the current temperature of the tested transformer using an infrared thermometer and input it using the numeric keys.
Nominal Capacity: This is the rated capacity of the tested transformer;
Correction Temperature: As mentioned in the "Current Temperature" item, the load loss test results need to be corrected. The correction should be carried out to a unified temperature range. Here, that unified temperature range is the one mentioned. Generally, the correction temperature for oil-immersed transformers is 75°C, while for dry-type transformers, there are various different correction temperatures.
