Closed cup flash point tester, color touch screen instead of keyboard operation. Used to determine the closed flash point value of petroleum products. Adopt convenient, fast, open, fuzzy control integrated software, modular structure, in line with national standards, American standards and other standards. Widely used in railways, aviation, electric power, petroleum industry and scientific research.

Core function
Test standard: Compliant with domestic and international standards such as GB/T261, ASTM D93, and ISO 1523, and capable of determining the flash point using the closed cup method.
Temperature control: The temperature control range is from room temperature to 299.9℃, with a resolution of 0.1℃. An adaptive PID algorithm is adopted to automatically adjust the heating rate.
Operation mode: Supports electronic ignition or gas ignition. It has an automatic pressure correction function for atmospheric pressure. The testing process is completed automatically (heating, opening the cover, ignition, alarm, cooling, and printing).

2. Working principle

Under the conditions specified by the national standard, the equipment puts the sample into the test cup, affects the heating experiment of the oil cup, and ignites the flame with the oil vapor ambient air and the lowest temperature gas as the flash point. The digital signal processor controls the heater according to the temperature change, so that the test oil temperature rises at a certain speed. Automatically control ignition and flash detection; when measuring the flash, the system stops data acquisition, displays the flash temperature, prints and records the results, and stops heating.

01.Calibration Specification for Closed Cup Flash Point Tester?

Visual inspection: Check whether the appearance of the instrument is intact and free from obvious damage.

Accuracy calibration: Calibrate the instrument using standard oil, and check whether the values displayed by the instrument are accurate.

Repeatability calibration: Under the same conditions, measure the same sample multiple times to check if the instrument's repeatability is satisfactory.

02.What are the calibration conditions?

Calibration environment: Calibration should be conducted indoors. The indoor temperature should be maintained at (20 ± 5)℃, and the relative humidity should not exceed 80%.

03.What is the working principle?

The core working principle of the closed cup flash point tester is based on the standard of the closed cup test. The specific process includes the following key steps:

Sample loading.
Inject the liquid to be tested (such as petroleum products) into a sealed metal test cup to ensure that the testing environment is isolated from external air interference. 
Programmed heating.
The sample is heated at a standard rate (typically 5-6°C/min) using an accurate temperature control device, and the temperature changes are monitored in real time by sensors. 
Accumulation of vapor concentration.
As the temperature rises, the combustible vapor generated by the evaporation of the sample gradually reaches the combustible concentration threshold within the sealed container. Flash ignition detection.
When the temperature approaches the flash point, the instrument automatically triggers the ignition device, creating a test fire source above the cup. Once the concentration of the steam and air mixture reaches the critical value, it will come into contact with the fire source, resulting in a flash ignition phenomenon. 
Temperature recording.
After the photoelectric sensor detects the flash ignition phenomenon, it immediately locks the current temperature value as the closed flash point. This data must meet the condition that the continuous burning lasts for no more than 1 second.
