Portable Transformer Capacity Characteristic Tester for measuring transformer capacity and no-load load characteristics
The transformer capacity and no-load load characteristic tester, also known as the transformer copper and iron loss tester, is a specialized instrument used for measuring the capacity and no-load load characteristics of transformers. It has a voltage rating of 35kV, a working environment temperature range of -20 to 50℃, and a humidity range of 10% to 85%. It supports identification of different connection groups such as Y/yn0 and D/yn11, and can complete tests at non-rated tap positions.
The instrument uses a low-voltage, low-current testing method, with an internal 600W power supply and 15AH battery. It can complete the measurement of no-load loss, load loss, etc. without the need for an external voltage regulator or auxiliary equipment. Portable Transformer Capacity & Loss Tester Its large-screen LCD supports brightness adjustment and is equipped with a micro printer that can directly output results. It also has built-in protection circuits and long-life touch buttons. The test range covers a voltage of 0 to 750V and a frequency of 45 to 65Hz. The data is automatically corrected for temperature, waveform distortion, and voltage, and supports external transformers for extended range. The instrument is 400×320×180mm in size and weighs less than 6 kilograms. It is suitable for various on-site environments.

Technical Specifications

1. Capacity test: For the range of 30kVA to 500kVA, the accuracy is 0.5 class; for the range of 630kVA to 40000kVA, the accuracy is 2 class.
2. Load test: Short-circuit loss (copper loss): Range 0 to 40000W, accuracy 0.5 class; Impedance voltage (Uk) and its percentage (Uk%), accuracy 0.5 class.
3. No-load test: No-load loss (iron loss): Range 0 to 40000W, accuracy 0.5 class; No-load current, accuracy 0.5 class.
4. Other electrical measurements: Voltage range 0 to 750V, accuracy 0.2 class; Current range 0 to 50A, accuracy 0.2 class; Frequency range 45 to 65Hz, accuracy 0.2 class. All these measurements can be completed by the self-provided power supply.
5. Automatically complete the temperature compensation of test data and convert the data to the value at the rated temperature.
6. Built-in power supply capacity: 15AH, capable of continuously measuring more than 100 transformers; Output power 600W, capable of directly testing transformers with a capacity of 16000kVA and above.
7. The instrument provides test signals: AC voltage 40V, maximum current 15A, standard sine wave, distortion less than 1%.
8. Transformer model (high energy consumption and energy-saving type) is automatically determined and printed.
9. It has a storage function and can store information of 100 transformers.
10. During testing, a special short-circuit clamp is equipped, and the wiring is convenient. When special requirements exist, a 1000A short-circuit plate can be selected.
11. The insulation resistance between the voltage and current input terminals and the casing is ≥ 500MΩ. The working power supply input terminal can withstand an AC withstand voltage of 2KV at 50Hz for 1 minute between the input terminal and the casing.
12. The instrument is small in size (400×320×180), weighs less than 6 kilograms, and is easy to carry.
13. Working environment: Temperature -20 to 50℃, humidity 10% to 85%.

FAQ

01.Why is it necessary to discharge the test equipment before measuring insulation performance? How to discharge the test equipment correctly?

The equipment under test may have residual charge. Failure to discharge the charge can damage the instrument or cause electric shock. For low-voltage applications, use a dedicated discharge tool to ground the equipment before touching the live terminal. For high-voltage applications, pre-discharge the test equipment through a current-limiting resistor before discharging the test equipment directly. Avoid touching the discharge area with your hands.

02.What are common causes of inaccurate ground resistance test results?

Possible causes include stray current in the test area, poor contact with the test leads, improper placement of auxiliary test points, uncalibrated equipment, sudden changes in ambient temperature and humidity, and uneven soil resistivity.

03.What should I do if the device displays an abnormality during testing?

Immediately stop testing, disconnect the device from the power source or remove the battery. Check that the wiring is correct and that the connection is good. If the problem persists, consult the user manual for troubleshooting. Do not disassemble the device yourself and contact a qualified technician for repair.

04.What precautions should be taken when using electrical testing equipment in humid environments?

Ensure that the equipment is waterproof and moisture-proof to prevent water from entering the equipment. Shorten the testing time and dry the equipment surface promptly after testing. Strengthen personal insulation protection to avoid the increased risk of electric shock caused by humid environments.

05.What are the key points of daily maintenance for electrical testing equipment?

Clean the equipment surface and interfaces regularly to avoid debris accumulation. Store in a dry, ventilated environment that is protected from light and shock. Remove the power supply when portable devices are not in use for long periods of time. Check that cables are intact and connectors are secure. Verify basic functionality before and after use.

06.What is the purpose of equipment calibration? What are the consequences of not calibrating on time?

The purpose of calibration is to ensure that the equipment's measurement accuracy meets standards. Failure to calibrate on time can lead to deviations in test data, potentially misjudging equipment status and causing safety incidents. Furthermore, some industries require valid equipment calibration certificates during compliance inspections.
