01.Operation method
1. Wiring check: Ensure that the connection between the tester and the transformer tap changer complies with the requirements of the "Power Equipment Acceptance and Preventive Test Regulations";
2. Parameter setting: Input the test type and threshold parameters through the instrument interface;
3. Automatic analysis: The instrument collects data and generates reports on the transition waveform, transition time, instantaneous transition resistance values, and three-phase synchronization, etc.
02.Fault diagnosis
Contact wear: Abnormal echoes or oscillations appear in the waveforms.
Transition resistance value: Measures parameters such as the transition waveform, transition time, transition resistance values at each instant, and three-phase synchronization of the on-load tap changer of the transformer;
Mechanical jamming: There is a significant difference in three-phase synchronization.

When removing the transformer housing, a double-arm bridge can be used to measure the contact resistance of the no-load voltage regulating switch and the on-load voltage regulating switch selection switch, as well as the contact resistance and transition resistance of the switching switch. The on-load switching characteristic tester can be used to measure the switching waveform and switching time of the switching switch when it is not connected to the winding. And the same applies to the measurement of the switching waveform, switching time and synchronization when the switching switch is connected to the winding.
04.Analysis and judgment of the test results
For the on-load tap changer, the transition resistance, contact resistance and switching time should all meet the requirements of the manufacturer. The allowable deviation of the transition resistance is ±10% of the rated value, and the contact resistance should be less than 500 μΩ.
The switching test can check whether the contacts are properly connected, whether the transition resistance is broken, and whether the synchronization and duration of the three-phase switching are correct.
05.Notes for Attention
The measurement should be conducted twice, from the single gear to the double gear and from the double gear to the single gear.
