The China Electricity Council Has Released The Annual Development Report Of China's Power Industry 2025

On July 10th, the China Electricity Council held a press conference. Hao Yingjie, the secretary-general and spokesperson of the China Electricity Council, released the "Annual Development Report of China's Electricity Industry 2025" (hereinafter referred to as the "Report").
This is the 20th consecutive year that the China Electricity Council has released an annual development report. As the main report of the "1+N" annual series of reports of the China Electricity Council, the Report is based on statistical and survey data of the electricity industry, systematically reviews the various achievements of China's electricity industry in 2024, and looks forward to the development prospects in 2025. It comprehensively, objectively and accurately reflects the current situation of China's electricity industry development and reform, and is an authoritative report that comprehensively summarizes the annual development situation of the industry.
The Report covers 13 aspects including power regulations and policies, electricity consumption, production and supply, power investment and construction, market construction, safety and reliability, standardization, international power development and cooperation, and power development outlook. It is rich in content, detailed in data, and clear in viewpoints. The timelineextends to the first half of 2025, enhancing its timeliness. It summarizes and refines the highlights and characteristics of power development in 2024, such as the promulgation of the Energy Law and its significance, the level of new energy consumption, the implementation effect of capacity-based electricity prices, the characteristics of power carbon emissions changes, and the release of power carbon footprint factors, highlighting the features of the annual Report. At the same time, it predicts the medium and long-term development of the power industry from multiple dimensions such as "technological innovation, green transformation, and market system", elaborating on the development ideas and trends of each field in the power industry chain, expanding the breadth and depth of the Report.
The heads of departments such as the Planning and Development Department, the Statistics and Data Center, and the Reliability Management Center of the China Electricity Council attended the conference and answered questions from journalists. More than ten news media, including Economic Daily, China Daily, China News Service, Workers' Daily, Economic Reference News, China Electricity News, and China Environmental News, participated in the press conference.
